Her research interests are primarily in the areas of team effectiveness, leadership and quality improvement. In the scope of health care reform, her interests include the redesign of primary care practice; and breast cancer care from prevention to palliation, especially in underserved populations. She is also a staunch advocate of new and emerging nursing roles such as the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
