Expertise: Dr. Ghosh's research interests are in the sexual transmission of HIV in women and mucosal immune responses in the reproductive tract. Her research is focused on characterizing endogenous antimicrobial molecules of the female reproductive tract and their regulation by sex hormones. Professor Ghosh is specifically interested in the translational public health aspects of disease that will lead toward the development of therapeutic interventions based on naturally occurring antimicrobial molecules.
