Expertise: Gevarter’s research and teaching interests focus on communication intervention and assessment methods for young children with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities. Her research has focused on the application of behavioral principles to augmentative and alternative communication assessment and intervention. She is also interested in collaboration and training for early intervention providers who work with children with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities.
