Program Manager – Public Health and Community Medicine, School of Medicine – (21001678)
The Public Health Program confers the MPH degree. It is administered under the umbrella of Public Health and Professional Degree Programs in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine. The program is large and complex with roughly 400 students, multiple areas of concentration, and several dual degrees with other programs both at Tufts and at other institutions. The program is offered both on campus and in an on-line format. The Department of Public Health and Community Medicine is part of the Tufts University School of Medicine and is the academic home to the public health graduate programs. The Department of Public Health and Community Medicine is distinguished by a strong faculty with a broad multidisciplinary approach to public health and clinical issues. It is devoted to the promotion of public health through education, research, population-based and patient-centered advocacy, shaping health policy, and community service.
Provides advanced, specialized subject matter knowledge to develop, implement, supervise and evaluate a university Program or Project in collaboration with Director and Associate Directors. Develops goals and strategies; designs data management and reporting systems; manages program/project financial, operational, and human resources; and works in partnership with program leadership and Student Services to manage all aspects of program operations. Supports faculty leadership in managing each unit (concentrations and dual degrees) of the program. Manages hiring, training and evaluation of staff.
Master’s degree in related discipline and 3 – 5 years of program or project management experience.
