This position is in the Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health, Women’s Health Research Center. Working under the general direction of the Principal Investigator, the project coordinator will provide overall coordination and management of an NIH-funded research study focused on women's health, cancer survivorship, and body composition.
 
Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Provide daily coordination for a large, multi-site NIH-funded research study.
  • Work alongside existing staff for the Women’s Health Initiative to oversee recruitment for research participants into the study, including contacting participants by telephone, enrolling participants meeting study criteria, consenting, and reviewing completion of questionnaires and paperwork.
  • Oversee assembly of study mailing kits, coordinate mail pick-up and create tracking logs for outgoing and incoming study materials; coordinate with biobank manager for storage of samples returned.
  • Implement study protocols, manuals of operation, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure that IRB requirements are followed per approved study protocol protecting participant safety and ensure the integrity of data collection.
  • Perform data entry, develop and generate reports. Write progress and technical reports. Work with WHI staff and data manager to ensure accuracy of data collection, conduct quality assurance.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings with Principal investigator, co-investigators, and other management staff.
  • Assist with writing and submission of manuscripts related to study findings and new research grant applications.
  • Maintain highest level of professionalism and perform any other duties necessary for the successful completion of the research study.
