Position Summary

The Statistician is a quantitative scientist whose focus will be providing statistical support for a Biostatistics Center. The Center will provide critical infrastructure for statistical planning and analysis across the University. In this role, you will interface with senior statisticians, clinical data managers, faculty in the Department of Biostatistics, and other scientific investigators, to design and implement scientific studies.

In this position, you will be responsible for:
    • Study Design and Implementation
    • Statistical planning
    • Randomization plan development and execution
    • Statistical programming
    • Statistical analysis (basic and advanced)
    • Computational and simulation support
    • Execution of analysis plans
    • Results reporting
    • Infrastructure Development and Management
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of SOPs and templates
    • Software development (e.g., R Shiny Apps)
    • Training and management of research assistants

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years experience in the appropriate discipline (biostatistics, statistics, data science, or other related scientific field).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in biostatistics, statistics, data science, or other related scientific field.
  • Knowledge of data management concepts.
  • Working knowledge within areas of Good Clinical Practices and related regulatory requirements and terminology.
  • Programming knowledge in R, with programming knowledge in SASSTATA and Python being desirable.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods for observational data being desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team setting.
