Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor, Boca Raton, FL.
We are seeking a candidate for the Assistant/Associate Professor tenure-track position to join our community of scholars who are passionate about nursing and want to thrive in a creative and caring work environment in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida. Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU) Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is known internationally for its dedication to Caring: expanding the science, practicing the art, studying the meaning, and living it day-to-day. We offer four-degree programs (BSN, MSN, DNP and PhD) with curricula that are unique and caring-based with opportunities for inter-professional education with medical, social work and pharmacy students. The Assistant/Associate Professor is a 9-month tenure-track faculty line. This position will also carry the administrative responsibility to oversee and develop a mentorship program for tenure track PhD/DNP faculty and students to foster PhD/DNP collaboration. The teaching load is typically 1-2 in first year and 2-3 each year thereafter; assignments are based on qualifications and experience. All new faculty have a mentorship team that guides his/her scholarship and teaching activities during the first year at the College.
Candidates for this tenure track position should have an earned research doctorate in nursing (PhD or DNS – doctor of nursing science) or a related field by time of application; and be eligible for RN and APRN licensure in the state of Florida. A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is not sufficient for consideration.
Candidates should have a focused research trajectory and publication record.
Experience teaching graduate courses, including working with doctoral students.
Minimum three years’ experience preferred, but not required.
