Faculty Position in the Department of Epidemiology

The University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Public Health invites applicants to apply for the position of Assistant Professor, Emergency Preparedness/Management Faculty position in the Department of Epidemiology.

We are seeking an Emergency Preparedness/Management faculty member (Assistant Professor) with extensive practice experience to contribute to the growth of an academic DrPH program in Emergency Preparedness in the Department of Epidemiology, College of Public Health by participating in the following areas:

  • teaching graduate courses
  • advising masters and DRPH students
  • contribution to the growth of scholarly practice through external funding opportunities
  • development and maintenance of collaborations and professional networks to support students
  • providing service to the community
  • contributing to the development of the program, department and the college.

Required Qualifications: Required qualifications include: Earned DrPH (or PhD) in Emergency Preparedness/Management (or equivalent field) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Emergency Preparedness or at the intersection of Emergency Preparedness/Epidemiology practice. Candidates should have or demonstrate the potential for 1) a track record of senior leadership experience in practice with scholarly contributions to the field 2) a commitment to teaching and advising graduate students, and 3) a commitment to service to the community, the program and the College of Public Health.
