Job Description Summary

The College of Nursing at Auburn University, located in Auburn, Alabama, invites applications for a full-time on-campus, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position. Candidates with experience in pediatrics as a pediatric nurse practitioner or family nurse practitioner are sought to teach undergraduate and graduate nursing students in classroom, clinical, and community settings.

The College of Nursing admits traditional BSN students each spring and RN to BSN students each semester. We offer a Master’s in Nursing with Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator options. Doctoral programs include the Doctor of Nursing Practice and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice program, and post-graduate APRN certificate program at Auburn University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing at the time employment begins. Must have current clinical skills and hold certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner with experience in pediatrics.

Desired Qualifications

Doctorate in Nursing or related field at the time employment begins. Teaching experience in a baccalaureate program and certified pediatric nurse practitioner.
