The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking an Assistant Professor, Special Title Series (tenure-eligible) position and will serve as the ABSN Track Coordinator. This position is a 12-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 50-70% Teaching and Advising, and 5-20% Research/Scholarly Activity, 0-20% Clinical Practice Service and 5% Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date of March 10, 2025, but no later than July 1, 2025.
This position, based in Lexington, KY, will assist in resourcing the Undergraduate programs within the College of Nursing. This position requires an individual to provide teaching, advising, and mentoring of undergraduate students in the ABSN program. This candidate will contribute to scholarly practice and in advancing nursing professionalism as a tenure track member of the faculty. Candidate will design, implement and evaluate the assigned didactic and clinical courses in the College’s undergraduate program. They will plan and evaluate student clinical experiences and guide undergraduate students. A DNP, PhD, or Doctoral Degree in nursing or a related field is required, a minimum of two years’ experience of professional nursing within the last five years. Teaching experience is required. Preparation in teaching and learning principles, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation with strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are critical for this position. An active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse is required.
