The Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Women’s Health (CIRWH) at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB Health) is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor to join the faculty in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology (https://www.utmb.edu/cirwh/cirwh-faculty-openings).

The mission of CIRWH is to promote, stimulate, and support interdisciplinary research related to the health of women across the life span. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary faculty group that engages in clinical research and community service as well as the teaching of medical and graduate students.

The department has strong research programs in cancer prevention, sexually transmitted infections, contraception, adolescent health, preventative medicine, and vaccine research, among others. The successful applicant will spend up to 75% of their time conducting and publishing research and applying for external funding.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants with a doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, or comparable degree) in epidemiology, statistics, public health, demography, sociology, or related fields are invited to apply. Preferred qualifications include strong quantitative skills and a record of extramural funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
