Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at thePerelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Histocompatibility, Immunogenetics and Transplant Immunology to support the transplant programs and the other clinical programs supported by the Immunogenetics Laboratory. Expertise in serological, cellular, and molecular testing is required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Must be certified by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical test analysis and sign-out, quality control, innovation, and test development.

This individual will serve as Associate Director of the Immunogenetics Laboratory. CHOP’s Immunogenetics Laboratory is part of the Division of Genomic Diagnostics supporting the hospital’s Renal, Hand, Heart, Lung, and Blood and Marrow Transplant Programs as well as serving as a reference laboratory for multiple transplant centers nationally. The lab is an innovator in the field of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics and the candidate should have strong academic and scientific interests that will align with the mission of the lab.
