The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking a Lecturer, (tenure-ineligible) Lecturer Title Series. This position is a 9-month appointment (August 16th -May 15th) with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 50% Teaching and Advising, 40% Clinical Coordination, and 5-10% Service and Professional Development, which will be reviewed annually. The salary range for this position is $73,000-$78,000.  We anticipate a start date on or after August 16, 2024. 
 
This position, based in Lexington, KY, onsite, will assist in the undergraduate program instruction and includes teaching, advising, mentoring and clinical instruction and coordination in the nursing courses within our BSN program, accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Courses may include, but are not limited to adult health nursing, pathopharmacology, professional nursing practice, leadership, healthcare systems, health assessment, and skills lab.   Additional teaching assignments may be considered in other core BSN nursing courses. This position requires classroom and online instruction, supervision of nursing students in clinical settings, involvement on college committees and collaboration with other faculty and staff in nursing education.  Preferred experience with advising and successful teaching of adult students, strong interpersonal skills, communication, and organizational skills. The required education and experience include a master’s degree in nursing. Doctorate degree in nursing preferred and a minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience within the last 5 years required. An active, unencumbered Kentucky RN license is required. Experience in general nursing and clinical coordination required and successful teaching with baccalaureate nursing students experience preferred.
