The UCLA Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health is undertaking a search for an Open-Rank Teaching Professor of Epidemiology (https://epi.ph.ucla.edu) (Lecturer with pre-Security of employment, PSOE, or Lecturer with Security of Employment, SOE). This is a state-funded tenure-track position with a 9-months appointment. The successful candidate will have an outstanding teaching record and a dedication to teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in modern epidemiologic methodology, as well as in specialty areas (infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, etc.). Previous research with an emphasis in epidemiology methodology would be welcomed. Since its inception, the UCLA Department of Epidemiology has established itself as a leader in epidemiologic theory and methods, applied epidemiology, and public health. We are looking for a candidate who will help us train the next generation of epidemiologists and public health professionals in epidemiology methods as well as applications.

The Fielding School of Public Health is located on the main UCLA campus in direct proximity to the other health sciences and professional schools (Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, and the College of Letters and Science) offering shared resources. The UCLA community as a whole has a strong history of and commitment to interdisciplinary research and collaboration. The Department also has strong research and training relationship with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health as well as with national and international institutions.

Successful candidates must have a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, MD, DrPH or equivalent) in Epidemiology, Public Health, Population Health Science or a related field, a strong track record of teaching and training of undergraduate and graduate students, and a demonstrated commitment to epidemiology and public health. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
