This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person.

The Department of Nutritional Sciences at Texas Christian University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice who also serves as the Director of the Combined BS/MS in Dietetics program, appointment beginning as soon as possible. This is a 12-month position.

We expect the successful candidate to: 1) hold terminal degree or MS in nutrition/food/dietetics or related field by start date. Candidates with MS degree must have experience commensurate to position; 2) be a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and eligible for licensure in Texas; 3) hold membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; 4) have a minimum five years practitioner and teaching experience and 5) computer literacy.

The preferred candidate will have experience with ACEND (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics) accreditation and complement existing teaching expertise in the department.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinating supervised practice activities for ACEND-accredited program; maintaining necessary documentation for ongoing ACEND accreditation; building partnerships with preceptors and organizations for supervised practice activities; teaching undergraduate and graduate nutrition/dietetics/food courses; coordinating inter-professional education (IPE) and research pursuits to advance missions of the Department of Nutritional Sciences, College of Science & Engineering, and the University; advising students; engaging in departmental/university/professional service; and mentoring undergraduate and graduate student-led research.
