The incumbent plays a vital role in delivering Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) initiatives, providing engaging nutrition education, promoting healthy eating habits, and encouraging physical activity in various community settings.

- Ability to travel extensively, as required
Essential Job Functions
- Delivers nutrition, food safety, and physical activity lessons using approved SNAP-Ed curricula.
- Facilitates hands-on food demonstrations and activities to promote healthy eating.
- Collaborates with the SNAP-Ed Coordinator, teachers, community partners, and stakeholders to implement programs effectively.
- Maintains accurate records of program delivery, participation, and outcomes, and contribute to reporting.
- Participates in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, health education, public health, or a related field preferred. Candidates with other undergraduate degrees may be considered if they possess position relevant credentials or relevant work experiences.
- 1 year experience in community-based education, health promotion, or working with underserved populations is desirable.
