Job Purpose
This position is for highly qualified Ph.D. holders with vast experience in teaching and conducting research in clinical nutrition. The candidate is expected to be committed to excellence in teaching the Department’s undergraduate and graduate courses such as Medical Nutrition Therapy, Diet Planning and Disease, Nutrition Project, and Advanced Nutrition Metabolism and Metabolic Disorders. It would be advantageous if the candidate could contribute to teaching the College's shared courses like Epidemiology and Introduction to Research.
Main accountabilities & expectations
- Teaching theoretical and practical Department and College level courses.
- Demonstrating ability to develop and instruct undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Research designing, implementation, and evaluation.
- The appointee is expected to establish a competitively funded research program to address important clinical nutrition and dietetics issues.
- Willing and interest to advise undergraduate students and administrative activities.
Required Skills
- An average of 3 years of teaching experience at a university level.
- Evidence of teaching and research excellence.
- Experience in clinical and community nutrition.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Clinical Nutrition or a closely related field from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated success in university teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Experience in dietetics clinical training coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated research experience.
- Experience in curriculum development and academic accreditation process.
- Record of scientific publications in highly reputed peer-reviewed journals.
