The Postdoctoral Associate will provide assistive technology evaluations and trainings for students and adults with disabilities including those who are blind, have vision impairments, mobility impairments, cognitive impairments, and other types of disabilities. Training is provided in the use of a wide range of assistive technologies that include screen reading and magnification software, text to speech, speech recognition, note taking devices, organization and time management devices, scanning and materials accessibility, scanning devices and use of switches. You will conduct on-site evaluations and training as needed, and provide tech support in the use of multiple assistive technologies.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Work with our team to implement a new fruit and vegetable incentive program for lower-income seniors and lead collection and analysis of mobile market purchasing data
- professional development activities such as conference presentation and manuscript preparation and independent pilot research
- involved in other lab research related to healthy food retail and physical activity
- interact with other faculty in the School of Public Health and Health Professions, the Center for Ingestive Behavior Research, the Jacobs School of Medicine and the School of Architecture and Planning
